Sometimes, I wish I were a kitten…

Just look.  Fitzwallace has SUCH a hard life.

He just lays there and once in awhile, he gets his picture taken.  He doesn’t even have to move his butt to play!

And yes, he really does sit like that.  Scottish Fold cats are known for sitting in a Buddha position, by sitting on their bottoms like people.  Silly, isn’t it?

Leo also has quite the life.  He just eats, sleeps, and gets petted.  Hard, I know.

I’ll admit.  Sometimes, I wish I was a kitten.  No homework, no responsibilities.  Life would be simple.

BUT THEN, I wouldn’t get to eat all of these wonderful foods!

Such as this bowl of TJ’s Kettle Corn.

And I wouldn’t be able to go to Brit’s Pub (an English style pub close to our apartment in Minneapolis) with Josh for his birthday!  I wouldn’t be able to drink their signature Absolut Bootleg drinks…

…(Absolut Vodka, lemonade, crushed mint leaves, and soda water).  Tastes almost like a mojito (but just a tad sweeter!).

I also wouldn’t be able to eat Shepherd’s Pie (lamb, beef, and veggies in a rosemary sauce with browned mashed potatoes on top).

Ok, maybe I could live without the Shepherd’s Pie.  Not sure if I could live without that kettle corn, though.

All in all, I think Josh had a good birthday.  He was able to eat, drink, and watch Pirates in the Caribbean on Blu-Ray (his first Blu-Ray movie!).  But you’ll have to ask him tomorrow.  He has fallen asleep :)

Hope you all have a good night.  I will run tomorrow (I will run tomorrow, I will run tomorrow). Had to say it two more times for good measure!

Until tomorrow…

  1. wow…your blog is making me hungry!

  2. I think I would love to be a kitten or a puppy for like… a weekend. then i think i would be good to go. :)

  3. Love the kitty pics! My Simon is an orange tabby and he likes to sit buddha style as well! It’s hysterical! He’ll just look at me, “What? I like sitting this way!” He’s just too cute!

  4. Oh that’s so cool – I know Brit’s Pub! I lived in Minneapolis all through junior high and high school, and have been back to visit several times since. It’s a great town even though I didn’t always appreciate it when I was a kid! The winters can really get to you after a few years;)

    Cute cats!
